FRIENDSHIP LINKS In 2003 Weston Quilters liked with the Sallie Quilters of Nelson, New Zealand. Sharon Poole at Weston and Jennie Rossiter in Nelson made their friendships, and guess what, it was nothing to do with quilting. However, their groups decided to form a bond. We organised penfriends who now write to each other, via letter or email. In 2003 Jennie visited England with her husband and presented Weston Quilters with a Friendship quilt. It has a strong New Zealand imagery, such as kiwi birds and ferns.
THE SALLIE QUILTERS OF NELSON, NEW ZEALAND In 2005 Weston Quilters reciprocated and after busily putting together blocks of bearing the colour theme of Weston Quilters.
