Welcome to our look at the 2010 show, the standard of entries was even higher this year, with 180 quilts on display at the Winter Gardens pavilion. Once again we had many entries from other parts of the country too. Weston Quilters members were busy too, not only making so many beautiful quilts, but also making nearly 60 bags which were raffled over the 3 days of the show to raise funds for actually staging the event. This was really popular so if you were one of the lucky winners, congratulations.

Our chosen charity this year was the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, once again the 4 quilts raffled were made by Karen Llewellyn-Parsons, a long standing member of Weston Quilters, and quilted by Charity Carter. We had a fantastic amount of support for this cause and we were delighted to hand over to Colin Thomas, our local co-ordinator for the DSAA, a cheque for £1800.00 at our October meeting. Thanks to everyone who came to see us, see you again in 2012, and especial thanks to everyone who helped make it such a success. The entry forms for 2012 will be out as soon as possible in the early part of 2012.

The following pictures show the winning quilts by category. If you would like to see all of the quilts from this exhibition, please visit our 2010 Quilt Gallery.
